First- and second-cycle degree programmes

Students of the Logistics and Road Transport Technology specialisation develop their knowledge in the field of: transport technology, technology of freight operations, freight flow in logistic systems, transport law, traffic theory, construction and maintenance of automotive vehicles, road transport systems, road traffic, telecommunications in road transport, organisation and management of road transport, technology of road transport – in the first-cycle degree programmes, and modelling of transport processes, technology and design of freight processes, creation of logistic systems, methods of evaluation of design solutions, organisation and management of the forwarding process, IT systems in transport, maintenance of cars, infrastructure of road transport, technology and organisation of car freights – in the second-cycle degree programmes.

Graduates of the specialisation have the skills to take decisions in the area of organisation and design of logistic systems, freight subsystems of road transport, technology of road transport, optimisation and rationalisation of processes and systems of transport and logistic service in the field of road transport. Graduates of second-cycle study additionally have the skills to solve and verify solutions to problems in the area of organisation and design of logistic systems, freight systems, technology of road transport, modelling, optimisation and rationalisation of processes and systems of transport and logistic service, in the field of road transport, as well as to do research in the field of development of the systems and subsystems, and road transport processes and technologies.

The graduates may use their qualifications by finding employment in:

  • road transport enterprises in departments of freight management,
  • large industrial and distribution plants in departments of analysis and organisation of transport and logistic processes carried out with the use of road transport,
  • forwarding companies,
  • study and design offices,
  • research centres.
