The subject of ITLIT's research is issues in the area of Transport ICT and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). In particular, this includes the issues of design and operation of ICT networks and systems in transport, analysis of ICT services and assessment of their quality for the needs of users, concepts for the construction of information platforms in various areas of transport and logistics, vehicle management and steering systems, and the use of modern telematics solutions for ensuring the safety of passengers and transported cargo in rail, road and air transport.
ITLIT is a consortium participant in the RID 4D (Road Innovation Development) project funded by the General Directorate of National Roads and Highways and the National Center for Research and Development. The leader of the project is the Motor Transport Institute. The project concerns the impact of the use of Intelligent Transportation Systems services on the level of road safety. The project is being implemented in 2017-2018.
