Research and didactic Laboratory of the Operation and Maintenance of Vehicles
In the laboratory, examinations may be carried out using test benches for evaluation of design and operating parameters of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. It is also possible to diagnose all subsystems of such vehicles. The laboratory is a basic teaching facility for courses such as diagnostics, maintenance and technology manufacturing and repair of motor vehicles. It is used for the implementation of semester papers, engineering, master's and doctoral theses.
Laboratory for Simulation Tests of Vehicle Dynamics
The laboratory builds upon 30 years of experience (of people related to it) in experimental studies and simulations of vehicle dynamics. Currently it is equipped with 3 main components:
- vehicle dynamics simulation software (mainly proprietary),
- stand for measurement of driver reaction time autoPW-T,
- stand for measurement of driver reaction time MCR 2001.
The software allows to test the normal traffic and pre-accident situations. The stands to measure driver reaction time (autoPW-T and MCR-2001) are used to measure the response time during the test on a given stimulus, according to the adopted procedure.
