Division of Traffic Control and Transport Infrastructure

The Transport Infrastructure Team does not have formally set-up laboratories. It is equipped with some measuring devices, however. These are: 1. Profilometer of type XY N5 intended for rail and switch profiles measurement, and 2. Profilometer AB N5 intended for railway and tram wheel profiles measurement. Both devices enable to determine the degree of rail and wheel wear and to build a library of real profiles. These are useful e.g. in studying the influence of the profiles’ wear on dynamic behaviour of the rail vehicle with the use of numerical simulations.

The Road Traffic Control Team

  • Laboratory of Road Traffic Control
  • Laboratory of Methods Modelling and Traffic Control Road
  • Laboratory of Measurements of Road Traffic
