Division of Air Transport Engineering and Teleinformatics
The research conducted in the Department focuses on the analysis and modelling of air traffic processes and elements of air traffic management methods and systems in connection with, among others, aircraft ground handling and passenger service, shaping traffic processes in the area of airports, cost, efficiency and environmental optimization of air traffic, as well as airport management and operation. The research uses a variety of optimization techniques and evolutionary methods and fuzzy sets.
The teaching activities of the company are carried out within the specialty:
- Air traffic control,
in which items such as:
- Technical diagnostics,
- Flight mechanics,
- Air traffic engineering,
- Construction and operation of airports.
The Department also conducts research on telematics systems supporting management and steering in transport, design of ICT networks and systems and analysis of telematics services, information platforms in various areas of transport and logistics, monitoring and recognition solutions for road and urban transport, mobile vision systems in road transport, rail communication systems, telematics solutions for rail transport, design of intelligent transport systems.
The didactic activity of the Company is realized within the framework of the specialization:
- Transport Telematics,
- Intelligent transport systems,
in which objects such as these are carried out:
- Transportation Communications Systems,
- Operation of telecommunications systems,
- Telecommunications in transport.
The plant has 4 modern research and teaching laboratories: Laboratory of Telecommunication Systems Operation, Telecommunications in Road and Internal Transport, Teletransmission Systems II and ITS Telecommunications Environment Laboratory.
