First- and second-cycle degree programmes

Students of the Road Vehicles Maintenance Engineering specialisation in the first-cycle study develop their knowledge in the field of: construction and operation principles of machines, theory of heat machines, machine dynamics, hydromechanics and hydraulic devices, traffic theory, construction, safety, technical maintenance, diagnostics, manufacturing technology and repairs of vehicles, safety of road traffic and technology of road transport.

Students of the specialisation in the second-cycle study develop their knowledge in the field of: car technology, car dynamics, road traffic, consumables, measurement systems in the automotive industry, automotive technical service plants, vehicle valuation, car transport technology.

Graduates of the specialisation have the skills to develop full technological processes of technical service and repairs of vehicles, to design technical service plants and to manage their work, to design diagnostic and repair equipment, to do tests and provide expert opinions on evaluation of technical condition, durability, technology of service and repairs of vehicles, as well as to evaluate accident situations. Graduates of second-cycle study additionally have the skills to model and study processes taking place in vehicles, their safety and operating environment.

The graduates may use their qualifications by finding employment in:

  • car transport enterprises and large industrial plants,
  • study and design offices,
  • automotive technical service plants (technical service stations, garages, diagnostic stations and motor vehicle inspection stations),
  • construction and design offices and production plants of diagnostic and service tools for the automotive industry,
  • research centres.
